Jesus Christ was a true revolutionary, a revolutionary tend to require thorough and fundamental change and has proven this time, he does not use weapons or violence on the contrary he was a revolutionary in love.
His revolution is done through the ministry of salvation not even result in the destruction. His teaching is the teaching of the most radical and revolutionary that we have never found in this world.
Sermon on the Mount is a principle or a less stringent demands on discipleship that results in spiritual and moral change. The problem is that we have become so familiar with the words of the Lord Jesus so that we lose sight of the meaning of his revolutionary.
It is tragic when we read the Word of God to still feel complacent, the Lord Jesus did not give statements to and so we feel quite satisfied. But instead he wants to transform our lives into a shining light, a vibrant witness and have a strong desire to advance hoist the banner of Christ.
Sometimes we try to develop a dangerous art in conveying and bringing radical teachings of the Word, to rob him of the true meaning by creating many theological concepts rather than smoothes the true meaning literally present. As a result there is a very real difference between Christianity and the 21st Century Christianity in New Testament times.
A Christian at this point is equal to attend church services at the appropriate time, giving the collection of money and give a little time for Jesus. Is this called Christianity?
True Christianity is a life as a student radical, a service which when inhibited will still continue to propagate, also filled with sacrifice and total commitment to God. When shifting the meaning of the word it applies the result we will see, when Christ calls a man to bear the cross, we called them to have fun in his name, when he called them to forget the world, we assure them that the world would be theirs if they accept Jesus.
God never made our trip so easy, Mark 8:34 says : “Then Jesus called the crowd and his disciples and said to them : “Every man would come after me, he must deny himself, take up his cross and follow me”. Many church leaders are afraid to tell the truth so that our churches are filled with a bunch of people who are weak and who put their position in the class of safe and comfortable.
God is looking for men or women, young or young women who are aware that material things can not make them happy. Lord Jesus apply a standard or measure the revolutionary life. In Luke 14:33,
“So too every man among you, who does not renounce all his own, can not be my disciple”. This suggests a standard of living a simple life is a life filled with sacrifice.
In other parts of the Lord Jesus teaches a revolutionary view of the sense of security about the future, Matthew 6:19 and 25, “Do not lay up treasures on earth, here on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal … ” Therefore I say to you : do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink, nor about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food and the body more important than clothes?
The Lord Jesus wants our first focus is a fundamental and comprehensive changes in our lives, when He calls us He will prepare us be revolutionaries of Christ in which we exist.
