Terang Tuhan Bersinar Bagimu

Gods smile in obedience

“Because of faith, Noah built the ark in the middle of dry land … .. Book of Hebrews 11:7 says: By faith, then Noah – with God’s instructions about things not yet seen – with prepared an ark to save his family, and because faith he condemned the world, and he determined to accept the truth, according to the faith.
We can imagine a situation where on one day God came to Noah and said, “I’m disappointed with mankind. Around the world, no one but you are thinking about me. But Noah …, when I saw you, I began to smile. I’m happy with your life, so I’ll cover the world with a flood and start over with your family life. I want you to build a giant boat which will save their animals. ”

Actually in human logic, there are problems that can cause Noah to be indecisive. First he must pass his inner conflicts in obedience by faith, Noah had never seen rain, because before the flood, God irrigate the earth from the bottom of the earth (Genesis 2:5). Second, Noah lived hundreds of miles from the nearest ocean. Although he could learn to build the ark, how he could bring the ark into the water? Third, there is a problem in collecting all the animals and then maintain it. In addition, he must show his authority as head of the family to be followed every member of his family, where the future of his family will be taken?

Maybe one time we are faced with circumstances such as full, thanks to which we will receive demand full compliance with the full faith and firmness in obedience to God as the head of the family to be able to take major decisions to bring our families into a covenant with God, where by we receive renewal of life and the abundance of God’s blessing.
The problem will not end as long as we still are in the world and God wants to see the attitude of our hearts. The problems that come it may be confiscated the years of our lives, sometimes makes us feel very heavy to pass through but we still have to pass with thanksgiving.

Noah did not complain or make excuses. He trust God completely, and it makes God to smile. Trusting God completely means having faith that He knows what is best for our lives. We hope that He keep His promises, to help us in every problem and do the impossible when necessary.
The Bible says, “God’s love to those who fear Him, to those who hope to His unfailing love (Psalm 147:11). Noah require 120 years to build the ark. We imagine that he faced many a long day, with no sign of rain year after year. They criticized him harshly as’ a madman who thinks that God speaks to him. ”

We imagine the children of Noah are often embarrassed by the giant boat being built in front of them, but Noah still believe in God. Believing is an act of worship, just as parents pleased when the children believe their love and wisdom, our faith makes God happy. The Bible says: “But without faith it is impossible person acceptable to God. For whoever would draw near to God must believe that God exists and that God rewards those who earnestly seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6)

Saving the population of animals from the flood all the world needs great attention to logistics and details. Everything must be done exactly as God chooses. And Noah is one who obeyed, he obeyed exactly (in the manner and time that God wants for the ark was finished).

If God asks us to build a big boat, we might have some questions, objections, or reluctance. But Noah was not, he is obeying God with all heart, it means doing whatever God asked without reluctance and hesitation. When Noah obeyed God’s command to build an ark that almost did not make sense in human thinking that moment he had begun dealing with conflict.
God does not owe us an explanation or reason for everything that He asks us to do. Understanding can wait, but obedience can not, adherence to which will soon teach us about the smile of God than the Bible discussion lifetime.
