Is useful if we know that Satan is fully predictable. Satan has been using the strategies and tricks since the creation of the same ancient. All trials followed the same pattern. That’s why Paul said, “We are very familiar with his evil plans.” From the Bible we know that the temptation to follow a four step process, which is used both to Adam and Satan desires, or against Jesus.
The first step, the Devil recognize a desire within us, namely the sinful desires like the desire for revenge or to dominate others, or may desire a logical and normal, such as the desire to be loved and appreciated, or to feel pleasure.
Trials began when Satan proposed (with a thought) so we can give in to an evil desire, or that we fulfill a desire that logically the wrong way or at the wrong time. Snap out shortcuts that are always going to look very easy to live but these things are often the temptation! Satan whispers, “You deserve it! you must have it now! It will be fun … fun … or will make us feel better. ”
We may think the temptation is around us, but God says that temptation begins within us. If we do not have the inner desire, temptation can not attract our attention. Temptation always starts from within our minds, not from the surroundings. Jesus says in Mark 7:21-23: “For from within, from people’s hearts, come evil thoughts, fornication, theft, murder, adultery, greed, evil, cunning, lust, envy, blasphemy, arrogance, ignorance . All these evil things come from within and defile a man. And James 1:4, Saying: “Where does the arrival of disputes and quarrels among you? Was not entirely your desires come from fighting each other inside your body? ”
The second step is to doubt. Satan tried to make us doubt what God says about sin. So maybe we’ll ask you in our hearts whether these things really wrong? Did God really say we do it? Is not the ban was only for others? or for some other time? God would not want us to be happy? The Bible warns, “Beware, O my brothers, so of you who do not have a bad heart and who does not believe it because he is an apostate from the living God.” (Hebrews 3:12).
The third step, is deceptive.
Satan is not able to tell the truth and he is called the father of lies, in the Bible John 8:44: “The devil became your father and you want to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning and do not live in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he told a lie, he said on his own, because he is a liar and the father of lies. ”
Everything that the devil say to us is not true, the devil offers his lie to replace what has God said in His Word.
Satan says you will not die, you will become more wise like God, you can do that and get away safely, no one will know it will solve your problem, other than that everyone is doing it, it’s just a minor sin.
The fourth step, is disobedience. In the end we act on our thoughts during the weigh-in weigh on our minds. What is an idea originally appeared in the behavior. We are beginning to give up on anything that draws our attention, we begin to believe a lie of Satan and the fall in the trap which had been warned by James: “But every man is tempted by his own desires, because he was dragged and enticed by it. And when that desire has conceived, she gave birth to sin, and sin when it is ripe, she gave birth to death.
My beloved brethren, be not deceived! (James 1:14-16).
